Title of this article is prefixed with "YAP:". YAP stands for Yet Another Preview. Right, previous screencast preview announced kitchen sync of all Note Web DSL capabilities coded by GPT-4 LLM. The published part of the screencast showed that:
The couple of outstanding points are Cognito-based authentication at AWS API Gateway and yielding microservices in AWS EKS. Video of these items is in final stages enriching Note In Web, Inc.'s dev force with great new ideas and in-depth understanding of AWS EKS and IAM/Cognito technologies.
However, looking back at the original articles of Note Web DSL series (dating to as early as May 2022), there is still quite a lot on the roadmap. Microservices in TypeScript/Node.js and .NET, messaging integration with SQS/SNS and maybe Kafka, maybe AMI generation/VM launch, BeansTalk, VPC and networking, AWS developer services. That's only about immediate AWS applications, but there are also higher level patterns like blue-green deployments and data migrations, multi-cloud with Azure next on the list. Priority of all these items can be influenced by direct funding and charters for new customization projects.
Obviously, though its an exciting and challenging domain, Note Web development can not focus only on Note Web DSL cloud integrations. Enabling users to chat about cloud solution needs, exchange links and files, summarize all of it into requirements, have those built into a cloud solution suggestion and try it out running in your cloud account: this is part of the vision introduced in August 2022 promo video. Note Web Chat is yet another bold step in that direction. We've spent quite an effort for a full-blown online meetings server integration. WebRTC is like magic at times, still it turns out NoteInWeb.com can offer its services much easier via an agent (bot) that runs in your chat service (like MS Team or AWS Chime). Offering online meetings service from Note Web UI remains on agenda, but would be preceded with a Note Web CAIP Agent in a popular public online meetings service.
So while scope for the next screencast is already booked (AWS API GW Cognito Auth/EKS from previous preview), the video after the next would be about Note Web CAIP Agent in one of the most popular online meeting services (technology to be announced later). Note Web CAIP Agent would summarize discussion transcript, attached files and links into actual requirements! A Problem-Domain-Solution note would be presented on request of one of the meeting participants. As we've seen previously, web notes tagged Problem-Domain-Solution can then be turned into Note Web DSL code and deployed to your AWS Cloud account!
This article explains an interesting study, dated January 2023, about impact of using GPT-4 LLM on performance of 758 business consultants, each having an established performance baseline. Performance of all participants benefited from LLM support, with low performers scoring above 40% increase. Those who received LLM-technology better than the others exhibited distinct productivity patterns, coined by authors Centaurs and Cyborgs. Centaurs maintained a clear line between activities where LLM and humans excel, based on perceived strengths and capabilities of each. Cyborgs blended machine and person on most tasks they performed. Note Web is designed to support both types of AI-savvy users, while letting others use their convenient ways for reaping new technology benefits. Stay tuned to see how Note Web Chat delivers on that standpoint (of course, after screencast of Note Web DSL deploying a cloud solution with AWS API GW Cognito authentication and Kubernetes microservices).
